Have you checked the settings for the chat? Should be possible to put it on the bottom. Extra content should allow html after upgrade.
The recent topics works, but you have to activate it on each categories settings.

The Extra content does not allow html, it has the same rule, "This text will appear in the forums upper part, only text is allowed".

For the recent topics, I did not find how to activate each category. Please guide me!!!

Recent topics should work, in which categories have you activated it in? And I can't see any html in the Extra content?
