Since ever I recognized it on National TV Channel, I hated it!!!
Still I've been watching it,
All those years (21 MyAge:o) I have allways seen a political back-rubs of allied or historical friendly Countries...

BUT!!! This song had ironi for everyone like you and me Croc-Man! We mocked and fun with all this mess, throu this song!!!

Eurovision may be politicized you are correct, but I believe it has done its mission! You are at Belgium, I am at Turkey and we are all around different places but we all know, agree and have a common sense and a talk about Eurovision and we have openions about it...

THIS VIDEO AND 2006 WINNER "HARDROCK HALLELUJAH" Personally I adore it!!! I am no heavymetal boy, not at all, but I adore how they have sold this crapy thing as Winner Song of Europe! They, each has ugly looking and strange images, but they sold their product, to ever no one could even imagine that this could be sold! That song was messed up EUROVISIONs vision!!!

As our new friend "LivingInSpain" mentioned EuroVision was all about ABBA, Julio Iglesias, Celine DION, Johnny LOGAN!!!

But, all the sudden FINLAND came upto platform, with demolishing this ancient conservatism... They sold us all a crapy thing... Most of the people whom watched could not even believed that, This is Eurovision???did not even regard it, but BOUGHT it big time!!!

This is clever, sharpmind and skill of salesmanship...
So, this is why complimants to FINLAND, 12 points from TURKEY!!!

and celine dion came out of eurovision???? never knew that......i was already in spain and just stopped watching it......

mind you, i have recently downloaded sertab erener, she is a rage in spain right now, and i like it!!!!!

the only person i like on eurovision was Terry thingumajig that was the english presenter-----terry wogan maybe?????? he had a lovely hairpiece.....

1956 to 2007 its nice path to history and you will see the difference of the "Lordi"/Hardrock Hallelujah/ in all those years of Champions...
They just dont belong to Eurovision at all!!! but they WIN it!
There you will also see, Célin DION was a winner of Eurovision1988 with a song (Ne Partez pas sans moi) and she compete for Switzerland!!! and she won that year for Switzerland!

As a young persant, I recognized most of the winner songs, I dont even knoe how??? (Strange!!!)

PS: "Sertab ERENER" is a very good educated and talented singer of our Country and she has real interesting talent for a singer! Her song was really good when she compete and that year all Summer, all discos, bars and Vacation Villiages around Turkey played that song we were soooooo sick of listenning to same song soo long!!! But, hey she was good and her song was good also!!!

and very BEAUTIFUL too, on the album she also sings with Ricky Martin (not so beautiful) and she sings in spanish too.....I haven't watched the eurovision since about 1990 when I came home to spain, except the year with Rosa and "Europe's living a Celebration" (which i did not like at all - I like Rosa but the song was not the best choice), and i havent seen it since.... i will go watch the videos later..thanks very much....
